We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children”- Chief Seattle

Today the ship was buzzing everyone wanted to confirm with the purser what time we would leave Bihar state and cross into Jharkhand state why you may ask the bar would be fully stocked and open for all to enjoy. But there was sight seeing to be done and still a 4-5 hour sail ahead let’s not get trapped in the sand.

After breakfast we stopped at Samtaghat where we were meet by a convoy of Tuk tuk to take us 9km inland to the Raj Malah Muslim ruins with a ladies palace and mosque no longer in use but the craftsmanship was amazing considering how old it was.

As we scoot through the villages you see cow still decorate for Diwali and many other sights of village life. One that stands out is cow pads used for fuel some are now made on a stick like a shi-kebab they believe they burn slower by poking them in to the fire as needed.

Back on the boat we cross into Jharkhand state and sail to the barrage for a BBQ on the sand bank and cocktail hour is open. The food was a snack not dinner it was a lot fun sitting in the moon light loud Indian music. They fires were lighted with mix of diesel and petrol no health and safety to be found
